There's so many reasons why I love this recipe - firstly because it's something I cooked when I was little, secondly it involves mini eggs (YUM), and lastly it's super easy to make and requires absolutely no weighing. It's perfect to make with kids. I shouldn't wait till Easter to make these.
You will need:
Chocolate (dark or milk, 2-3 large bars)
Box of shredded wheat cereal
Large pack of mini eggs
Melt the chocolate over water or slowly in the microwave and remove the last few lumps by stirring. Break up 6-8 shredded wheat and add them slowly to the melted chocolate. Spoon into cupcake cases and top with 2-3 mini eggs per nest. Chill for 5 minutes in the fridge and store at room temperature (mini eggs don't like it in the fridge).
